Tammy LeBrell, MSN, APRN, FPMHNP-BC

Tammy LeBrell Picture.jpg

Being one with a personal passion for those struggling with addiction and the relevant co-occurring mental health disorders that often accompany, I centered my nursing profession of 20+ years to helping those into recovery. I believe in meeting the person where they are recognizing that each person has their own story to share and personal journey in this life. I am a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s Degree in Advanced Practice from Saint Louis University and specializing in Family Psychiatric Mental Health. From a small town in North Central Arkansas, I relocated to St. Louis in 2015. Shortly after, I was offered the opportunity of preceptorship with Assisted Recovery Centers of America (ARCA) establishing a working relationship that led to an offer to join the team in 2019. I currently work as a provider treating individuals through medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders and mental health diagnosis and treatment therapies. My focus is individual and holistic care.

I have been a Nurse for 46 years and have worked in a wide variety of settings. I obtained my Master’s in 2001 and Board Certification in 2002. Since then, I have worked as a Research Study Coordinator at Washington University School of Medicine, Dept of Psychiatry, VA Medical Center as PMHCNS-BC, Assistant Teaching Professor in the College of Nursing at University of Missouri- St. Louis, and in Private Psychiatric Practice. I have been with ARCA for 6 years and QSR for about 18 mos. Psychiatry is a very specialized field in the sense that the only way to properly diagnose and treat a person with a psychiatric illness is by spending time with a patient and  LISTENING. We do not have lab tests or xrays we can use to determine the cause of the patients symptoms of depression, anxiety, psychosis, mood swings, etc. We only have our ability to relate to others, knowledge of signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and treatment modalities such as medications, psychotherapy, etc. to help our patients. We must be able to communicate clearly with them and quickly build a rapport so they will trust us with their feelings and concerns.

I came to ARCA with hope that I can make a difference in one person’s life. To give every client the care and support needed for a successful recovery. As a mother of a son who struggled with substance use disorder from the age of 16 years old until he succumbed to the disease at the young age of 20 years old, I know the care, the kindness, and the words of encouragement (and even the stern words of disappointment) from “mom” is sometimes just what is needed to push through another day of sobriety. I’m here to be your biggest cheerleader!

Kaycee Fleet

My name is Kaycee, and I have been with ARCA going on 4 years now. I joined this company because I wanted to help others. Not knowing much about addiction when I first joined, I quickly learned that the perception of addiction compared to the reality of it is incredibly eye opening. Seeing people change their lifestyles right in front of your eyes is such a rewarding experience and I enjoy getting to be a part of it. You never know what someone is truly going through until you see it firsthand, and I’m so grateful I have the opportunity to help those who fight to take back their lives.
