Harm Reduction and Prevention Services
At ARCA, Harm Reduction and Prevention Services are rooted in compassion, dignity, and a commitment to meeting individuals where they are in their journey. These services aim to reduce the negative consequences associated with substance use while promoting health, safety, and the potential for recovery.
Our harm reduction strategies include access to life-saving resources such as naloxone distribution for opioid overdose reversal, safer use education, and linkage to healthcare and treatment services. Prevention efforts involve proactive education, early intervention, and support tailored to at-risk populations, with the goal of reducing new instances of substance use and related harms.
By working directly with individuals who use substances, ARCA fosters trust, reduces stigma, and empowers people to make informed decisions about their health—whether they are seeking treatment, maintaining recovery, or simply trying to stay safe. These services play a critical role in preventing overdoses, lowering the risk of infectious diseases, and supporting the broader health of our communities.
