Treatment Philosophy

Science-Based Approach

ARCA’s philosophy is grounded in evidence-based medical research, particularly in the use of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). This approach combines FDA-approved medications with behavioral therapies to treat substance use and co-occurring behavioral health disorders effectively.

Whole-Person Care

Recovery is not one-size-fits-all. ARCA emphasizes individualized treatment plans that address the biological, psychological, and social aspects of substance use and behavioral health. Each patient’s unique story, background, and needs are central to their care.

Outpatient Focus

ARCA’s programs are designed to support recovery within the patient’s natural environment. Outpatient care allows individuals to maintain their daily responsibilities while receiving structured, ongoing support.

Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Many individuals face both substance use and behavioral health challenges. ARCA provides concurrent treatment for co-occurring disorders, ensuring that both conditions are addressed simultaneously for better outcomes.

Trauma-Informed and Person-Centered Care

ARCA is committed to compassionate, respectful, and trauma-informed care. Treatment is delivered in a way that recognizes the impact of trauma and prioritizes safety, empowerment, and healing.

Key Components of ARCA’s MAT Program

Medical Stabilization

Initial treatment focuses on managing withdrawal symptoms and stabilizing the patient using medications such as Naltrexone (Vivitrol®) or Buprenorphine, depending on the individual’s needs.

Ongoing Medication Management

Patients receive continuous monitoring and adjustment of their medication regimen to ensure effectiveness and minimize side effects.

Behavioral Health Counseling

Individual, group, and family therapy sessions are integrated into the treatment plan to address underlying psychological and emotional issues.

Community Integration and Support

ARCA actively engages with the local community and encourages patients to build support networks that promote long-term recovery.

Long-Term Commitment

Recovery is a journey. ARCA provides sustained support for as long as needed, helping patients transition through different stages of recovery with confidence and care.
