Expanding Access to Behavioral Health in North City

ARCA is deeply committed to increasing access to behavioral health services in underserved communities, with a focus on North City. Since 2020, ARCA has actively engaged in street outreach, providing behavioral health support to individuals in homeless shelters and encampments.

Our efforts are supported by strong partnerships and invitations from community leaders, reflecting a unified commitment to health equity.

In response to alarming data showing a 56% increase in behavioral health crises within African American communities between January and June of 2019 and 2020, ARCA has expanded its initiatives significantly.

These actions are part of a broader collaboration with the Missouri Department of Mental Health and grassroots organizations dedicated to addressing the opioid epidemic and behavioral health challenges head-on.

ARCA’s presence and work in the community reflect a sustained and growing commitment to bringing high-quality, accessible care directly to the people who need it most.
